Manufacturing (AM) as new industrial revolution has recently received the
attention of many researchers. In this process, complex parts are produced in a
short time and with high quality. In Babol Noshirvani University of Technology,
there is an AM laboratory equipped with a 3D printer of Fused Deposition
Modeling technology and a plastic extruder for the production of filament. Our
research includes: 1- Production of composite filaments (reinforced with glass
and carbon fiber and filled with metal and ceramic powder); 2- 4D printing with
shape memory polymer; 3- topology optimization with AM. It is hoped that with
the implementation of the Erasmus project in collaboration with other
universities, knowledge could be traded between students and faculty members.
Also, our university wants to enter in various fields of additive manufacturing
such as aerospace, automobile, oil and gas, agriculture, tissue engineering and
